Our Mission

1.

We are dedicated to caring for stray, abandoned, abused and neglected dogs.  Dogs will be rescued from kill shelters and brought to the nearest sanctuary.  We will provide shelter, food and medical care until an approved adoptive home can be found.

2.

We are dedicated to bringing shelters, animal control officials and rescue groups together to work towards our common goals and ending the practice of mass euthanasia. Through this partnership we can stop duplicating our efforts and help each other to use funds more effectively for the animals.

3.

We will save dogs from injury, abuse, neglect and abandonment by accepting dogs from the public, kill shelters and puppy mills.

4.

We will save dogs from injury, abuse, neglect and abandonment by accepting dogs from the public, kill shelters and puppy mills.

5.

We will aid shelters and animal control facilities in reducing their euthanasia rate by providing a place for them to relinquish their unadopted dogs.

6.

We will have mobile rescue vehicles rescuing "last chance" dogs from kill shelters throughout the U.S.

7.

We will work with other rescue groups, shelters and humane groups to adopt our formula so that sanctuaries of this kind can be located all over the U.S.

8.

We will implement programs for youth groups, scout groups, school groups and church groups to volunteer at each sanctuary. These programs will help us educate the public on its misconceptions about "second-hand dogs" and introduce them to the rewards of adoption.  Through adoptions, education, community service and outreach, we will strive to (1) promote responsible pet ownership to improve the quality of life for animals in our community, and (2) enhance relationships between animals and people.

9.

We will educate the public on responsible pet ownership, spay/neuter benefits and the rewards of adopting a homeless dog.

10.

We will provide a low-cost spay/neuter clinic and, through outreach and education about the benefits of spaying and neutering, work towards reducing the number of unwanted pets.

11.

We will aid Mexico and Puerto Rico (through Puerto Rico's SATO program) in adopting our formula to help them stabilize their stray dog problems.
